ADP Southwest Elects Zonal Leaders, Sets Agenda as Rising Opposition Force
The Action Democratic Party (ADP), Southwest zone, has taken another bold step in consolidating its position as the credible and people-driven opposition in Nigeria.
At a virtual meeting of the Southwest State Chairmen of the party held on Tuesday, 16th September 2025, and in line with consultations with the National Leadership, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:
Hon. Toye Ola Akinola (Osun State) was elected as the Southwest Zonal Chairman of the ADP.
Hon. Ojo Ayodeji (Ekiti State) was elected as the Zonal Secretary for the Southwest geopolitical zone.
This historic decision demonstrates the unity, clarity of purpose, and renewed strength of the ADP in the region, as the party positions itself to challenge the failures of governance and give Nigerians, particularly in the Southwest, a fresh and credible alternative.
The meeting was attended by:
1. Nasir Adewale Bolaji – Lagos State
2. Hon. Toye Ola Akinola – Osun State
3. Pastor Dare Ojo – Oyo State
4. Amb. Yeye Olufunke Olarewaju – Ogun State
5. Elder Oluwafemi Oladejo – Ondo State
6. Hon. Ojo Ayodeji – Ekiti State
In their joint communiqué, the Southwest leaders pledged to mobilize massively at the grassroots, build robust structures across the six states, and champion the cause of the oppressed, the underemployed, and the forgotten majority.
They reaffirmed that the ADP stands today as the voice of the people and is prepared to rescue the nation from poverty, unemployment, and bad governance.
The Southwest zone of the ADP has now become the new rallying point of opposition politics, committed to fairness, equity, and accountability.
The leaders called on citizens of the region to join hands with the party in creating a better, more prosperous Nigeria.
